Comes with a removeable cushion insole that allows more foot room when removed, but no comfort is lost as there is another cushion insole sewn into boot underneath the removeable insole. Boot is constructed of heavy duty, oiled, top grain, heavy guage leather. There is a leather over pieced stretch material on the boot top for more room in the calf if needed. We know, we know, this stretch fabric is not authentic to the re-enacter folks, but we have found that in todays world with heaver carcasses on the hoof, we ve got to have this. The heel shape and back counter take on spurs with no problem. We make this piece of work all the way up the size 14. Its a good one.
